Online orders and payment
For eligible catalog orders, the total shown on Stripe’s payment page includes the confirmed applicable VAT and any confirmed delivery or packaging charges. Completing payment places a paid order; a request for quotation remains non-binding until agreed separately. Atelier pickup is free and by appointment. Allow up to one week for glazing; any transport time is additional. Orders over 5 m², bespoke commissions and orders without confirmed delivery costs require a quotation. Bespoke commissions may be paid by bank transfer after agreement. Mandatory consumer rights take precedence over these terms; selecting a standard catalog glaze does not automatically make a product exempt from statutory withdrawal rights.

2. Quotations and Inquiries
Quotations and project inquiries remain indicative until confirmed in writing. An inquiry is treated as the start of a conversation and does not automatically create a binding agreement.
3. Handmade Variation
Variation in tone, texture, glaze movement, relief, edge character, dimensions, and visible traces of handmaking forms part of the character of the work. Each tile remains distinct within the batch. These variations are not defects. Clients seeking strict factory repetition are encouraged to discuss this in advance.
4. Prices and Payments
Listed prices remain indicative unless expressly confirmed otherwise. Additional costs for transport, packaging, collection, or specific finishing may be stated separately. Payment terms are confirmed per project.
5. Lead Times
Quoted lead times and completion dates are indicative. Because the work is carried out by hand, in batches, and around studio planning, timelines may shift due to drying time, glaze selection, firing schedules, or practical circumstances.
6. Delivery / Collection
Delivery, shipping, or collection is agreed in consultation. Risk passes according to the arrangements confirmed for the project. Visible transport damage should be reported as soon as reasonably possible.
7. Bespoke Work and Glaze Choices
Glaze choices, prepared work, and bespoke commissions are aligned individually for each inquiry. Once a batch or bespoke finish has been confirmed, changes or withdrawals may be limited due to studio planning and work already carried out.
8. Returns / Cancellation
For bespoke work, prepared batches, or glaze finishes made to order, returns or cancellations may be limited or excluded. Where cancellation remains possible, it is considered in relation to the stage of work and costs already incurred.
9. Liability
Vlaamse Tegelmeesters cannot be held liable for unsuitable installation, improper use, inadequate substrate preparation, or damage arising outside the normal control of the studio. Any remarks are addressed in consultation first.
10. Applicable Law
These terms and future agreements are governed by Belgian law, subject to mandatory legal exceptions. Disputes are preferably discussed in consultation first.
